Immersive Yacht Documentation
A new service currently being introduced to the superyacht sector
Immersive Yacht Documentation
A premium digital format for the way superyachts are presented, documented and experienced.
Combining immersive interior walkthroughs, exterior spatial capture, and high-quality visual documentation, this service is designed to create a more complete and useful digital representation of a yacht.
It is intended for owners, brokers, captains and shipyards looking for a more intelligent way to present, share and preserve a vessel — whether for sales, charter, documentation or future digital twin applications.
A more complete way to understand a yacht
Yachts are usually presented through photography, video, deck plans and in-person visits. While all of these remain valuable, they rarely offer a complete sense of space, flow and atmosphere.
This format is designed to bridge that gap by combining:
immersive interior navigation
high-quality exterior capture
and a scalable digital structure that can evolve over time
The result is a digital asset that can function both as a presentation tool and as a long-term documentation layer.
What a first implementation can include
Immersive interior walkthrough
A navigable interior experience allowing key spaces to be explored remotely and intuitively.
Exterior spatial capture
Photogrammetric or spatially oriented exterior documentation to improve understanding of structure, decks and context.
Drone-supported visual documentation
Exterior visual material designed to communicate scale, profile, deck flow and presence.
Interactive points of interest
Optional hotspots or layered information highlighting features, spaces, materials or relevant notes.
A scalable digital base
A first-phase structure that can be expanded or updated over time.
Remote presentation
Allow owners, brokers, captains and clients to explore the yacht without being physically onboard.
Better spatial understanding
Go beyond photography to communicate layout, volume and flow more clearly.
Why this matters onboard
Documentation value
Create a lasting visual record of spaces, details and configuration.
Controlled access
Tours and documentation can be shared publicly, privately, or only with selected users depending on the project.
Scalable over time
Begin as a presentation tool and evolve into a more advanced digital twin structure.
Current proof of concept
While this format is now being developed specifically for the superyacht sector, the core methodology has already been tested through previous immersive documentation work combining exterior photogrammetric capture and interior virtual navigation.
One such example involved the digital documentation of a museum environment, where the exterior structure was reconstructed through photogrammetry and selected interior spaces were made navigable through an immersive virtual tour.
This work serves as a proof of concept for the same hybrid logic now being adapted to yachts:
interior immersion + exterior spatial capture + future scalability.
Exterior photogrammetric reconstruction
Interior virtual walkthrough
HOW THIS TRANSLATES TO YACHTS
The same approach can be adapted to the specific needs of the superyacht world:
Interior walkthroughs for cabins, salons, circulation and guest spaces
Exterior photogrammetric capture for deck understanding, scale and structure
Drone-supported visual documentation for context and movement
Layered digital presentation for sales, charter and owner documentation
Each implementation can be tailored according to the intended use, from a presentation-focused first phase to a more advanced long-term digital twin approach.
Currently opening first collaborations
This format is currently being introduced to the superyacht sector through a limited number of first-phase collaborations.
These initial projects are approached as foundational implementations, allowing the format to be adapted to real-world yacht environments while maintaining a high level of quality and relevance.
As such, they are developed under specific introductory conditions, reflecting the collaborative nature of these early stages.
If you are interested in exploring how this could apply to a specific yacht, project or fleet, I’d be happy to discuss a first implementation.
